Find Prospects Through Multiple Channels
If you wish to build annuity prospects, you need to adopt proficiencies from a variety of annuity selling systems. A sole strategy won’t work. You need a list of techniques that include mailings, seminars, even picnics with your clients.
There are a number of annuity selling systems on the Internet, some free, some for a charge, some quality while others are junk. If a system sounds too good to be true, it’s probably a scam and you’re the bait. Annuity prospects don’t come flocking easily. It takes a number of strategies and time investment to really build a solid portfolio of prospects.
There are seminars to go to as well, but all are not created equal. Review who is putting it on and how well affiliated they are to the industry. If a seminar is worth it’s time, however, it will be informative as well as a great place to link up. Seminars are about education and building relationships, sharing information and making connections in the industry. While information can be found online and through tutorials, nothing can match the exchange that can take place over a handshake and coffee and donuts.
If you design your own seminar to lure your own prospects, make sure that you fill up the chairs. There’s nothing sadder than an empty seminar or one that’s poorly attended. Not only does it consume your time, but it also makes a bad impression on those who do show. Make sure your seats are packed. If you have little to work with, consider inviting friends or other contacts. You can always sponsor a free picnic or cookout for a little extra enticement.
Selling annuities can be an exciting career, but it takes a lot of work. Whether handshaking, mailing flyers or holding seminars, annuity marketing is an 80 hour a week job. You get out what you commit. Your success depends on the success of your clients.
