What To Do For A Child’s Birthday Party

Working on planning your child’s birthday party, but don’t have any ideas on what to do? There are a lot of options to consider, from venue to activities. Hopefully, this article will help you come up with some children’s birthday party ideas that you can consider for your next party planning.

If your little one is a little lady, then a princess party may be right up her alley. Decorate your house like a castle or roll out the red carpet for your guests. All the girls can dress up like princesses. The invitations could be scrolls with nice calligraphy on them. The point is: use your imagination! Go all out! Have them all make tiaras as an activity. Having some games based on fairy tales could be fun, too. This is one of the more “girly” children’s birthday party ideas, but if you happen to have an all-girl party coming up, celebrate it with a girly party!

How about the boys? What kinds of children’s birthday party ideas are there for them? Well, one generally male-centered party idea would be a pirate party. Send the boys treasure map invitations, or a Jolly Roger flag. If you don’t mind a little work, why not build a cardboard pirate ship in the backyard? Have a treasure hunt for all the little pirates looking for gold. Let the boys wear some bandanas, maybe an eye patch, or a good pirate’s hat. Just like the princess party, a pirate party is the most fun when you put the most work into it!

Then we come to children’s birthday party ideas for both boys and girls. This shouldn’t be a problem! Throw a luau and decorate with pine trees and tiki torches. Have the kids wear leis around their necks and Hawaiian shirts. Take your guests on an imaginary safari, with pets and stuffed animals for the “wild” creatures. If they’re too young to worry about “cooties”, you could throw on some music and have a dance party.

The point is, when is comes to children’s birthday party ideas, the sky’s the limit. Let your imagination run wild – just make sure your ideas are appropriate for the kids. Ask them about it, and brainstorm together! I bet you could come up with plenty of great ideas!
